Reassured’s industry-first universal Trust form has placed more than 30,000 customers into trust

Reassured, the UK’s largest life insurance broker, has announced that more than 30,000 customers policies have now been placed into trust using its industry-first universal Trust form, transforming how policyholders complete and return Trusts when after taking out life or critical illness insurance. The form has also been developed as a Blueprint for the wider industry, providing a model that other providers can adopt to reduce friction for customers.

Launched in September 2023, Reassured’s universal Trust form was created for all customers taking out life or critical/serious illness cover. This pioneering digital solution replaced the longstanding reliance on individual Trust documents issued by each insurer, traditionally paper based, difficult to access, and requiring physical signatures.

By digitising the process end-to-end, Reassured removed the need for customers to download, print, sign, or post documents, while also removing the requirement for a digital signature. The result is a significantly faster, simpler and more efficient experience for customers leading to more families receiving payouts quicker at claim stage.

Since launch, Reassured’s digital Trust has enabled more than 30,000 customers to be placed into trust and has driven a significant uplift in return rates, increasing from 1% in September 2023 to 11% as of March 2026 demonstrating both strong customer demand and the effectiveness of the new approach.

Laura McGraw, Reassured Chief Customer Officer said: “We are pleased to have seen significant growth in the number of customers using Reassured’s universal Trust since it was launched. When we implemented the Reassured Trust, we wanted to create a digital, insurer-agnostic solution that makes life easier for customers. It is great to see the Reassured Trust is still fit for purpose and has provided the industry with a blueprint to overcome a previously outdated process, to the benefit of all customers.”

Reassured’s digital Trust form has been accepted by major insurer partners including: Zurich, Aviva, Legal & General, LV=, Scottish Widows, and Vitality.
